Lindsay Doesn't Learn - Pulled Over!
I've nothing else to do on a Monday morning, so, after reading a short news blurb about Lindsay Lohan being pulled over, within a couple of days after being released from re-hab, I thought a rant might be in order.
It would seem that these young wanna-be famous people believe in the truism that "no publicity is bad publicity" - including bad publicity. Perhaps, it is their understanding that having their name in the press, regardless of what they have to do to get it there, is a good thing. Getting in trouble with the law, making sex tapes, blowing their tops at inappropriate moments (wherever there are cameras), seems to be the only thing they know how to do, when it comes to getting their name in front of the public (their public). Maybe, these young people have a distorted understanding of what it means to be famous. Maybe they are confusing the definition of famous with infamous. Of course, the problem could be that of who they hire to advise them. Their publicists may be part of the problem.
Paris Hilton said it wasn't her purse and is now saying that the cocaine found in 'not her purse' is that of a girlfriend and even that the 'not her purse' was that of the friend. Lindsay's excuse was that she was trying to ditch the paparazzi...
Wiping the sleep from my eyes, I realize that there are far more important things happening than these wanna-be famous getting their names in print and lights. Maybe, these people get so much attention because the public enjoys the problems of others, when problems they face on a daily basis become as extreme as those we face in the world today. It's kind of like rubber-necking to see the car crash, along the side of the road, and failing to see the crash you are about to become a part of. Keep your eyes on the road ahead of you, or you might wind up in a wreck of your own.
