This weekend, here in America, the Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon is something of a tradition. Helping those who are not as fortunate as ourselves is something that we all can be part of. Please check it out.

The recession is designed to be over, but a lot of people are still out of work. Huge money advances were drawn for government stimulus programs, with the idea that jobs would be created and joblessness eased. Instead, the number of unemployed has only increased. This past month has been the worst for some time. There were 27 states that really had an increase in joblessness. There were 10 states with no change, and 13 states with a decrease. Current conditions certainly create the impression the recession isn't over, despite reassurances to the contrary.Unemployment rate has not improved for some states.I hope that the government will help these people to look and land in stable jobs.
